Kathryn S. Holloway, M.D.
Dr. Kathryn Holloway was raised in San Antonio and is excited to be taking care of women in her hometown. She attended Wellesley College in Boston, Massachusetts and graduated with a B.A. in Neuroscience with Honors. She returned to Texas for her medical training and received her M.D with Distinction in Research from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
Dr. Holloway continued her medical training in San Antonio and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Health Science Center. During her training she developed in interest in minimally invasive and robotic surgery and completed research in the evaluation and teaching of OB/Gyn residents’ robotic surgical skills. Her research received an Honorable Mention award by the American Medical Association. During residency, she was also honored with the Arnold P. Gold Humanism and Excellence in teaching Award.
Dr. Holloway chose a career in general Obstetrics and Gynecology because she enjoys caring for women of all ages. She is passionate about helping women live healthy lifestyles during and between pregnancies. Having been born into a medical family, Dr. Holloway understands the commitment to the physician – patient relationship. She lives with her husband, who is also a physician, and their two children. They enjoy traveling, spending time with family, and being foodies.
