Valentin Almendarez, Jr., is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Almendarez earned his medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Almendarez is a member of the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association and the Texas Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the Willard R. Cooke Obstetrics and Gynecology Society. Dr. Almendarez offers da Vinci robotic surgery for most pelvic conditions. Dr. Almendarez is a primary investigator for the largest endometriosis study in the country: The Violet Petal Study.

He has three children and enjoys playing golf, grilling and UT sports.
