Positions available:

PSR II Checkout – Full-time (New!)

Location: Medical Center- Medical Center Tower II

Hours: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. M-F, some late evenings and Saturday hours

Minimum one year of experience in a medical practice setting. Must have knowledge of medical practice protocols related to operating front/back office and scheduling appointments, and be able to type 30 wpm.

  • Collects patient and insurance payments and reconcile charges on a daily basis
  • Posts notes and collection of patient’s payments into the computer system
  • Verifies account balances and refunds for accuracy
  • Provides information to patients regarding unpaid balances
  • Balances all monies collected and the daily deposit, if applicable
  • Verifies and prepares for the patients’ needs during the visit
  • Schedules patient’s appointments that were ordered by the physician
  • Provides each patient with the proper paperwork when leaving, such as referral forms, orders, etc.
  • Reviews with the patient medications sent to the pharmacy

 

PAR III – Surgery Coordinator (New!)

Location: Downtown – McCullough Office

Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. M-F, some late evening and Saturday hours

Minimum of three years’ experience in a medical office, including experience with insurance pre-authorization, patient collections and surgery coordination. Must be able to communicate clearly, work with little supervision and be able to type 45 wpm using word-processing software. Experience or ability to learn computer and web-based programs including Microsoft Excel, email and internet required.

  • Coordinates the scheduling for surgeries and procedures at the practice, ambulatory surgery center or hospital, as well as follow-up appointments
  • Coordinates arrangements for surgical assistants, special equipment and surgical materials
  • Obtains authorization for surgery
  • Provides patient with pre-operative surgical and financial requirements
  • Collects patient pre-payments as directed on a daily basis
  • Obtains accurate information from patients and ensures all registration forms are completed
  • Submits patient’s clinical and financial information to facility, assuring appropriate medical records release
  • Reviews and responds to telephone messages and emails on a daily basis

Verification Specialist GYN – Full-Time (New!)

Location: Administrative Office

Hours:  8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. M-F,  Saturday hours may be required

Must have experience in healthcare industry, medical practice or similar environment for duties required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook, and ability to type 30 wmp required.

  • Verifies insurance two days prior to appointment
  • Documents benefits in current INS forms
  • Makes any necessary changes to demographics
  • Contacts patient with benefits and patient responsibility
  • Prepares a new verification form for each patient
  • Confirms all referrals and authorizations and verifies same-day work-in appointments
  • Ensures weekly work-in/add-on duties are completed
  • Checks for any new messages sent through EMR for patients/new patients
  • Reviews and responds to telephone messages and emails on a daily basis
  • Serves as back-up receptionist answering telephone at the front desk

PSR I Communication Specialist – Full-time

Location: Downtown-McCullough Office

Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. M-F, some late evenings and Saturday hours

Minimum one year of experience in an appointment scheduling position, preferably in a medical practice setting. Must have intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft programs including Word and Excel, and be able to type 30 wpm.

  • Schedules appointments for patients either by phone or after an office visit. Reschedules patients as needed or requested.
  • Uses manual/computerized system to match physician/clinician availability with patient’s preferences in terms of date and time
  • Registers new patients, obtaining all necessary information.  Refers patient to Patient Portal.
  • Enrolls patients in the Patient Portal through NextGen computer system
  • Maintains scheduling system so records are accurate and complete
  • Ensures updates (e.g., cancellations or additions) are put into the master schedule on a daily basis
  • Communicates as needed with physicians/clinicians and staff about any patient concerns/issues related to scheduling
  • Uses customer service principles and techniques to deal with patients calmly and pleasantly
  • Reviews and responds to telephone messages and emails on a daily basis.

Registered Medical Assistant

Locations:  Medical Center Tower I, Hardy Oak Office and Downtown – McCullough Office

 

Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., some late evenings and Saturday hours

Certified/Registered Medical Assistant, at least one year of clinical experience required.

  • Assists physicians with patient care
  • Prepares patients for exams or treatment
  • Prepares and administer injections
  • Takes patient history and vitals
  • Phlebotomy
  • Triages patient calls
