We specialize in obstetrics, urogynecology, gynecology, infertility and reproductive endocrinology. The Institute for Women’s Health has a staff of more than 175 full-time employees.

Patient Service Representative Check-in/out – Full-time

PSR II Check –in/out –  Fulltime

Location: Advanced Fertility Center

Hours: Mon., Thurs. & Fri., 7 a.m. – 4 p.m., Tues. & Wed., 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. (weekend rotation, including holidays)

Must have exceptional customer service and communication skills with a minimum of one year’s experience in a medical practice setting. Must be able to use a computer system including software, mouse, keyboard and intranet, and be able to type 30 wpm.

Job Duties:

  • Greets patients immediately upon arrival
  • Provides patient with appropriate paperwork to be completed
  • Answers telephone calls in a courteous manner and directs to appropriate staff
  • Prepares patient’s charts in advance; checks patient insurance eligibility status
  • Enrolls patients into the Patient Portal through electronic computer system
  • Obtains accurate information from patients and ensures all registration forms are complete and entered in the computer
  • Verifies demographics and insurance information
  • Communicates as needed with staff about any patient delays
  • Schedules all appointments ordered by the physician
  • Collects any co-pays, deductibles and old balances as needed
  • Balances all monies collected
  • Maintains waiting room for a tidy and sanitized appearance
